Credit Card Declined

Your credit card has just been declined while trying to place an order at UkuleleWorld.Com. WHY????

It is really frustrating to try to place and order and your credit card is declined. This does not imply that you are bad credit... or there is anything wrong with the credit card itself.

NAME ON CARD Spelling wrong, Skipped initial

CREDIT CARD NUMBER ERROR Check the numbers they must be exactly right. No spacing in placing an credit card number on our site.

EXPIRATION DATE ERROR This date is really easy to do... but must be exact.

CVV ERROR This is very easy to do, because most people never see the CVV security number when they had their card to a merchant... or swipe the credit cardt in a card reader.

The CVV is a security number which is a 3 digit number printed (not embossed) on the back of most credit cards. American Express has a 4-digit number printed on the FRONT of their credit cards.

In our web-based orders, we are not able to see you or your credit card. The only assurance that some is not using a stolen credit card number is that our Merchant Gateway requires that you provide the CVV security number. Since people do not regularly supply this security number to their local merchants, it is easy to become confused.

The reason given by the Merchant Gateway when the security numbers are not present, or wrong looks something like this ....Reason: Error: (Reason Code INV CVV2 MATCH). This is an Invalid CVV Number Match.

Generally, when the name and all the numbers are correct... the order is securely placed, and you will receive an acknowledgement of your order.

CVV numbers help protect you from stolen credit card numbers... which occurs more often than it did several years ago.

HACKERS Hackers sometimes try to steal both your credit and our products. One of the ploys that hackers use is to repeatedly try and try to place an order. using a small variation of one of the numbers. When the web site detects many repeated attempts to place an order, the web site simply refuses to accept the order. If this happens to you, please wait until the next day... then carefully enter your order.

WE CAN HELP --- SOMETIMES When there is no solution in sight in placing your order, please e-mail us. Sometimes we can spot the trouble from our Administrator's Desk... and we want to help you when we can.


Another thing to consider is to use an alternate credit card that you own.... or maybe use PayPal. Either of these can work wonders in getting your order placed. However, when the Merchant Gateway has refused the correctly entered credit card, and the Merchant Gateway has a problem... we are not authorized to see the problem or to over-ride the problem. This is for your protection. The Gateway does not us allow us to noodle-around in your credit card information or operation.
